Who we are

scottie.so is run by Arjo Das (“scottie”, “we” or “us”), an individual in Singapore. This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what we do with it. We follow Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

This policy covers scottie.so only. If we invite you to use scottie itself, you’ll get its own terms and privacy policy before you put any documents or email into it.

What we collect

When you request early access, we collect what you type into the form: your name, work email, organisation and role, and, if you choose to tell us, what you’d use scottie for first. We also record which form you used. We don’t ask for anything else, and we don’t buy or receive information about you from anyone else.

When you email us, we keep your email address and what you write.

When you visit the site, we don’t set cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records the pages viewed, the page you came from, your browser, operating system and country. Cloudflare says it does this without cookies or fingerprinting, and it doesn’t tell us who you are. Cloudflare also hosts the site, and like any host it processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your request and talk with you about how you work.
  • To invite you to scottie when it’s ready for you, and to set up your team.
  • To send you occasional news about early access. Every such email lets you opt out, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
  • To keep the site secure, and to understand in total how many people visit and which pages they read.

We don’t sell your personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

By sending the form or emailing us, you consent to us using your details for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. We’ll then stop, and tell you what that means; for example, we won’t be able to invite you.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run the site for us, and only so they can do that:

  • Formspree, which receives the form and forwards it to us. Formspree is based in the United States, and it stores form submissions there.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts the site, provides its analytics and forwards email sent to scottie.so addresses to our inbox, on servers around the world.
  • Google (Gmail), where we read and answer that email, and Resend, which delivers the email we send from scottie.so addresses.

We’ll also disclose personal data if the law requires us to.

Transfers outside Singapore

Formspree, Cloudflare, Google and Resend store or process data outside Singapore, including in the United States. When we transfer personal data out of Singapore, we rely on our providers’ contractual commitments to protect it to a standard comparable to the PDPA.

This applies to the website only. scottie itself keeps your documents, email and AI processing in Singapore by default.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while your request is open and while you’re in early access. If you don’t join, we delete them within 12 months of our last contact with you. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

How we protect it

Only Arjo Das, scottie’s founder, can see your details. We use providers with strong security practices and protect our accounts with two-factor authentication. If a data breach is likely to cause you significant harm, we’ll tell you and the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), as the PDPA requires.

Your rights

You can ask us:

  • what personal data we hold about you, and how we’ve used or disclosed it in the past year;
  • to correct it;
  • to delete it, or to stop using it.

Email us and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the PDPC.

Age

This site is meant for people aged 18 or over. If you’re younger, please don’t send us the form.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we’ll update it here with a new date. If a change affects how we use details you’ve already given us, we’ll email you first.
